The founders behind the cruise ship and the restaurant, are pioneers in domestic cruise tourism in India and wanted to create an unforgettable experience for the guests.

The restaurant’s name, The Pier, is aptly chosen as it sits right by the pier, giving diners a close-up view of the cruise ships and other cargo ships entering and leaving Goa. With three floors of undisturbed sea views, customers feel as if they are on a cruise ship minus the motion of sailing.

One of the most special things about this restaurant is its authentic Goan and Mughlai cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on serving a variety of fresh seafood preparations. The ingredients for these dishes are sourced every morning from the local markets, and the chefs use locally grown vegetables, fruits, spices, and freshly caught seafood to create mouth-watering dishes. The restaurant also incorporates traditional Goan flavours in some of its dishes and drinks, such as Goan Urrak, Feni, Kokum, and Coconut water.

The Pier’s ambience and decor are designed to enhance the experience of the guests and give them a first-hand feel of the port. The indoor seating area, named Tarvoti, is a tribute to the sailors and the life of the local fishing community in Goa. The rooftop seating area is perfect for a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, complete with live music on some nights. The marine elements and maritime elements are subtly incorporated in the decor to give guests a feel of the location’s rich history.

The restaurant is committed to offering a sustainable and eco-friendly dining experience. They avoid the use of disposable items as much as possible and recycle their cooking oil by converting it into biodiesel.
