IHCL Elevates Ranjit Phillipose to Senior Vice President – Operations, Goa

Renowned for his exceptional leadership in the hospitality realm, Mr. Ranjit Phillipose assumes the role of Senior Vice President of Operations, Goa, within The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), the leading hospitality operator in Goa’s vibrant tourism sector. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades at IHCL, Mr. Phillipose brings a wealth of experience in hotel management, strategic leadership, and brand development to his new position.

Commencing his journey with IHCL in 1993 at Taj Coromandel, Chennai, Mr. Phillipose has consistently demonstrated his prowess in hotel operations and brand enhancement. He has played instrumental roles in the pre-opening phases of various IHCL properties across Mumbai, Seychelles, and Mauritius, showcasing his versatility and exceptional leadership acumen. His international assignments in London and the United States, including notable positions at The Pierre in New York and Taj Boston, further underscore his global expertise.

Mr. Phillipose’s ascent to general management began with Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, followed by his tenure as General Manager of Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives. His subsequent leadership as Area Director – Goa and General Manager of Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa, positioned him as a strategic leader in the region. His contributions extended to Taj Dubai, where he served as General Manager and later as Area Director UAE & Africa, overseeing the successful launch of Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Phillipose has been honored with prestigious accolades, including recognition in the Forbes Middle East Top 100 Travel & Tourism Leaders 2023 and the Hotelier Middle East Executive Power 50 List. His recent accolade as International Achiever of the Year – Hospitality at the 2023 PATWA International Travel Award at ITB Berlin solidifies his status as a leader in the global hospitality arena.

Mr. Phillipose’s leadership philosophy centers on the value of human capital, emphasizing the importance of fostering meaningful relationships within the organization and the communities it serves. With oversight of over 30 units and a substantial workforce of 2500 individuals, Mr. Phillipose is poised to lead IHCL Goa toward new heights of success in an evolving tourism landscape.
